Did You Hear? Luvvie Ajayi is Absolutely WINNING!

Back in 2013, we introduced you all to one of our first black women in media headliners, Luvvie Ajayi. Then, on her site, AwesomelyLuvvie.com, she was a self described

Now…her headline reads a little something like this…

And making trouble she, she has; Sis has been busy!

Since we last caught up with her a few years ago, Luvvie has become a household name. We actually got wind of her 2016 novel, “I’m Judging You: The Do Better Manual” via this hilarious Youtube review with Evelyn From the Internets.

Apparently, that book was the catalyst for many things, including a new series surrounding it in the works by the legendary Shonda Rhimes!  Oh, and let’s not forget this monumental interview she did with…wait for it, Oprah! Yes, Oprah! And yes girl, we agree, she loves you now.

Not only is she lovable, but Ajayi works hard for the community. She is Founder of the Red Pump Project, which is still going strong, with her partner Karyn Brianne Lee. The a nonprofit was founded to raise awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls.

Since 2013, she has received over 20 awards from various notables such as ESSENCE, OkayAfrica, WEEN, BlogHer, and Marie Claire. She has also been featured on Forbes twice, Fortune, and Inc.

Luvvie Ajayi has been dedicated to her craft for 14 years. She lovingly mentions her MySpace days to give you an estimate of how she’s been in the game.Her evolution is truly inspiring and a testament that success isn’t a linear path, nor is it overnight, but once the press starts to pile, it makes an honorable impression in the resume.
